"I am loved" Charity Auction #justiceforkatlynlyon

We started out on social media as 3 sisters who loved to roast each other.  We have created a following of what we consider one giant family and sisterhood mainly on TikTok.  We try to find every reason we can to laugh and joke around.

On October 7th, 2022 our world was turned upside down.  My middle sister Crystal’s 28 year old daughter Katlyn Lyon Montgomery was murdered by her ex-boyfriend.  She left behind a 4 year old daughter (Milani) that we now raise.  The days have been long and life has been overwhelming for us all. We are a very close family and we are truly devastated over the tragic loss and left with so many unanswered questions.  As we navigate our new normal, the only thing that helps us on most days is to laugh at each other as we have done our whole life.  Humor has gotten us through some rough days in our lives.

One of the things we love to laugh at each other about is old photographs of our bad decisions in the 80’s & 90’s.  Thank goodness cell phones didn’t exist back then.  Being creative has always been an amazing outlet for us all and we are super competitive.

2 of us decided in true sister fashion to make a painting of a picture of our oldest sister.  In the early 90’s she took some “sexy” pictures in the attic of all places, and we have never let her live it down.  We thought that would be the only appropriate picture to paint of course.  We may have added some extra details, but I think we both “nailed it”.

Our followers on Tik Tok voted and have picked a winner!  And have asked us to auction these off.  Even the losing one!  Now even if they sell for $2.00 I will add to my resume that I am an accomplished artist!  All of the money raised from this auction will go directly to Milani’s college fund.

Thank you for joining in on our fun and being part of our family.  As funny as this all is, this project has allowed my sister to find a few minutes to create something and be able to take her mind off the heaviness and the reality of what has happened to our family.

Healing is an Art.  It takes time.  It takes practice.  It takes love.

You are Loved,

Tina Jamerson Hopkins & Family

GoFundMe Katlyn Lyon

Katlyn was an amazing devoted and loving mother to her 4 year old daughter.   At 28, she brightened every room she ever entered and was the light of our life. She never met a stranger and would go out of her way to help anyone.  She believed in love and unity. She believed that everyone deserves the chance to be happy and live life to the fullest.  Her family is devastated by this tragedy, especially her mother who is grieving the ultimate loss. She was a loving daughter, the funny sister, the sweet granddaughter, the lovable niece, the feisty cousin, and the friend who loved with no limits.  She will be dearly missed by everyone, and our family will always honor her memory.  The last thing Katlyn wrote in her journal was I am loved. Our pain will become our purpose to carry on her legacy and remind everyone they are loved.
